not running properly

The forklift is LP and will start, run for approximately 10 sec. then stops. Any suggestions?

Need more info. If memory serves me this is an older unit. ( A pic to my email would confirm I know this model).

Does the ignition system use points? What brand of LP system is installed?

When the unit starts, does it start right up or do you have to crank & crank before it fires? In the 10 seconds it's running, how does it run? Will it only idle or will it take an increase in rpm. When it shuts off- does it sputter out or does it turn off like you shut off the ignition key?
