Cat V50DSA Transmission help

Hi I have the above truck and have diagnosed a faulty f/r solenoid. We have got a replacement kit with new type solenoids and was wandering if anyone had instructions on how to replace this. In the new kit I have a small spool ans spring but don't know where it goes.
Thanks in advance

Yea, I'm starting to run a slight fever just thinking about those old transaxles. Paired up with a 2.0 Peugot you could possibly have the "most expensive to repair forklift" in the world!! Remember the SAMS valves that couldn't be disassembled and cleaned? Best filter in the world!!

Sounds to me like what you have is the updated relief valve. Years ago these units had a problem with transmission filters starting to leak due to pressure spikes. There was an updated relief valve Cat (Daewoo) had us install. The relief valve is inside the gerotor housing. You access it from the bottom.

Lift up the floor plate and the solenoids should be on top of the transmission, they should unscrew by hand and slide off.
