Discussion:
Aisin Fuel systems

I have had a tough week with fuel system problems. I am very versed on Impco- but have limited resources for Aisin. I had a 7 series Friday that I replaced the PB handle and 1 cable on. The machine refused to start after the repair. Had great fire, Capfull of gas in carb fires it off. Main fuel solenoid has voltage and is operational. Anyone know of a test to confirm fuel is getting through the regulator? A quick button push on a JB2 would do the same thing on an Impco system. Help!

Prentice,
Thanks for the quick response. No dual fuel, just an Aisan open loop with a relay to open the one large fuel solenoid. It has a vacuum line going to the top fuel valve. I just left the customer a few minutes ago. I found the power valve (vacuum operated) in the carburetor was stuck open. Freed this up and it starts great- not quite sure why.

Hello Forkliftt, Is this a Dual Fuel System (Gas and LPG) ???? I have had problems with the fuel switch on the dash. Check for voltage to solenoid. Does it have a vacuum lock-off or electric??
