Looking for some troubleshooting tips for my Clark GCS-S17. New battery, but motor will crank but will only fire with starting fluid. It appears that there is LP going to the VFF30 as I loosened the LP fitting going into it? I have owned it for years and it gets very little use. It seems like it's just not getting gas?
Any thoughts appreciated, Jim

You nailed it! Thank you very much??!! Split in the fuel line right next to the clamp...chopped off the split, reconnected it and it fired right up!
Thanks again, Jim
Sounds as if either the mixer diaphragm or the vaporizer diaphragm is bad or stuck remove air cleaner and hold hand over mixer to close off and turn over engine if no suction then remove diaphragm from mixer if you have suction check diaphragm in vaporizer also check fuel line from vaporizer to mixer for holes or loose clamps
Thanks for the quick reply. When you push the button (which pushed easily) and crank the starter you can get it to fire for a second but it won't stay on.
Not sure where to relocate the vacuum line?
First , is there a primer button on vaporizer?
If so is it hard and can you push it ? If not then remove small vacuum line and suck on it to pull vacuum at vff30 the small line is usually hooked up at the intake
And sometimes the engine will lose vacuum at the port and you have to relocate to another area for enough vacuum
