Discussion:
Error code 193

Hello,

Have a Hyster walkie stacker S1.4 serial code D456 giving error code 193.

Checked wiring for brake driver no short found changed brake with new one but that did not help, the controller is ok as it worked on a similar machine when tested on it. Replaced the main contactor and that did not help.

Any ideas what could be causing this?

Hello Fishmech,

Thanks for your reply. We already did all those tests and found nothing wrong. It turned out that the female pin 4 on controller Connector has become rather wide and no longer touching the male pin on the controller. Changed the pin and all worked ok.

Ramzi,

* Check the wiring and verify that the smart driver output is not shorted
on -Batt.
* If, even when disconnecting the wire from the connector PIN, the
output maintains a low value then the problem is inside the module
and the smart driver is probably damaged.
With the Smart driver open, no signal reaches
the PIN (XA1-2) of the electromagnetic brake.

Need to verify three connections. Pins 3 of the controller should have 24 volts coming in. Pin 2 should have 18 to 24 volts going to the brake and pin 4 is the negative signal to release the brake. Check pin 2 and 3 for voltage with key on. You may have to pull handle down in operating position to see voltage. If you have voltage at 3 but not 2, possible smart module has failed. Make sure all connections are clean and tight. Complete ohm checks all wires. Good Luck

The hard to do we do right away. The impossible just takes a little longer.
