Discussion:
New batteries, but no charging

Hi, dexided to dust off and use my old yale MPB040EN24T2748, so I bought 4 US2200 batteries.
( there were 4 us1800 batteries on it )
Installed them and they work perfect, but now the 1-24020-04-hf charger does not light up, flash or come on at all.

The seller of the batteries told me not to get them below 50% without charging.
I'm going to send it out to get checked but in the mean time what's a good cheap charger to charge the 4 or do I charge em 1 by 1 with a regular charger?

Lift it!
Showing items 1 - 6 of 6 results.
Ok replaced the charger, new batteries show 25 volts.
Unit moves forward/back but still no lift.
Single beep when pressing up or down.
Led light on controller has a steady red blink.

Whats my next move?

When the machine beeps is because the batteries are not charged fully and the controller thinks they are not enough to allow to lift make sure every battery is at 6.5 volts after charge or the controller will not reset to allow it to lift. Hope this helps.

So I finally got back to this thing.
Charged the new batteries that I bought ( US 2200XC ) using an Amazon charger. I charged them individually.
Now the machine moves back n forth but beeps when trying to lift.

on the newer chargers it is located on the top of the charger. It would be beside a voltage selector. Now if this is an older charger it may not have this, there might be a standard glass fuse holder on the bottom/backside of the charger, you can check for that and make sure it is not blown. There also might also be one on the inside of the charger inline with the main cable connection.

those chargers should have a circuit breaker on the panel, make sure that is not tripped.
as far as charging? you can go lower than 50%, by design you can run it down to the low end of the charge and everything should still work just fine. I just wouldn't run them completely down till it doesn't want to move. I would wait till the BDI gets down to about 3/4 discharged before putting them on charge.
