Shipping R80 forklift with mast tilted far forward at 45 degrees

I purchased an Eagle Picher R80 Rough Terrain Forklift at auction and am having problems getting it shipped. The transport company I contracted to haul the forklift from Calif. to Oregon says that it is too tall for their equipment to haul on the freeway, which has a limit of 14ft. (I-5). The Eagle Picher R80 is the same as the Cat R80 as well as the Noble R80 (Noble is the current manufacturer). The auction listing says that the height of the mast is 133 inches at minimum extension. The specification sheet from Noble says 132.5" and also says that the mast can be tilted forward 45 degrees. My back of the envelope calculation indicates that tipping the mast fully forward would give an effective height at under 9 feet or so. Can anyone confirm that the forklift can be shipped this way. I am deaf and can't call on a voice phone but have sent several emails with no response.
