Discussion:
Misses and backfire

Engine will start missing and backfire when just starting to open throttle.
Will idle and rev up fine once past first opening throttle.
Has new propane regulator, fuel filter, spark plugs , wires , rotor and distributor cap. Changed pvc and vacuum hoses.
Vacuum advance is holding vacuum.
Compression test and cylinder leakdown test good.
Cleaned throttle body.
Has original distributor with high hours run time, never been changed.
Anyone know what may be cause?
Could coil or distributor cause this?

It did this before the new parts were installed? Have you measured the KV's of spark? Use a spark tester...one that adjusts open to 3/4 inch.
In the air, a coil can fire 3/4 easily. Just using a spark plug is no good. Also, the pick up coil or igniter can go bad. You can buy complete distributor with coil and igniter/module for reasonable price.
