Hello, the steering wheel sensor bearing, or steering.
Thanks again Nunanemo, let me try this brother.
John Juma.
Hi John Juma,
As you mentioned "problem comes back after 3 or five days with the truck working & need one hour to restart the machine again and it works"
=> Basing on the principle of the steering system of this truck model and my experience, I assume that you should do the following steps to find out the main causes:
1) 48V Contactor K7- the small one located under the display area: try to make the bypass or change the new one to see. This is because when the contact tips of this contactor are worn out it can cause many problems.
2) The Rim bearing / Ball Bearing the big one located underneath the drive motor (D~300mm) => check & see if it is worn out and blocked. Due to this is the main load of the steering motor so if it is so hard to turn => Will cause the steering system to be overload and make it crazy
Hope it helps
Good luck
Thanks Nunanemo.
I had changed the steer controller before.
The trucks at times works very well even for 3 days without displaying any error.
Last week I thought of the same that it could be the steer sensor bearing that is fitted in the steer wheel, I did changed that but still the problem comes back after 3 or five day with the truck working.
When the error occurs we give it like one hour to restart the machine a gain and it works.
Help if you have experienced of the same because I need a permanent solution.
Thanks,
John Juma.
Hi Juma,
"Error 47 steel wheel" means the Steering wheel encoder is faulty.
- Please check the steering encoder located under the steering wheel where the driver handles to turn the steering.
- If you have the new one or the same truck you should replace it to test. Otherwise, you should check the wiring from the steering encoder to "the Steering controller" located in front of the driver's knees. If the wirings are all OK this means you will have to order the new setpoint steering encoder.
Good luck
Cheers
