Discussion:
Hydraulic motor constantly running

I have a customer who has a Yale erp030TGN36TE082 and as soon as you turn the key on, the hydraulic pump motor comes on and won't stop until you turn key off or lift the panel housing the control levers. Everything else works normally. Help please!

hi luis,
they have GE SR controllers for the drive and a GE SP controller for the hydraulic pump (if it has SCR hydraulics). Otherwise the hydraulic would be a contactor controlled system.

Magnetic sensors, I think you're right about that. I'll be at customers local tomorrow and try the suggested repairs and keep you posted. Thanks again,
Ray

well it could be led sensors, they also could be hall effect magnetic sensors
it is not clear in the parts book i'm looking at
you can still try cleaning it, pull the wire connectors apart where the harness plugs into the circuit board and check the pins and connections, make sure all the pins are fully locked in place and none are pushed back, clean those connections also.

Ok that has led sensors that emit light beams and when the lever moves it breaks the beam that activates the motor.
Try using some contact cleaner to clean the LEDs, one may have some dirt in it.
Then blow it dry with air.
If that doesn't work then the board might be shorted.

There's a printed circuit board where the control levers are mounted with what looks like possible proximity sensors for each lever.
There's also a red light on the print board that stay illuminated when key is on. Is it possible the print board is shorted?
