Discussion:
Trans slips going forward

1985 Cat V50D Serial number 3EC1100. It has the peugeot LP engine with auto trans. Fresh trans fluid and spin on filter. Converted to gas. Runs very well. Just purchased this truck and have been fixing it up. When you put it in reverse it drops the RPM's and engages pretty hard. When the electric switch is put into the forward position the RPM's barely drop. It looks like it has a hydraulic inching pedal set up. I checked the pressure from the external hoses. Forward is 60 psi. Reverse is 120 psi. I do not have the two solenoids sticking out the front like others I have researched. The wires go in from the backside of the trans. It has two cover plates on top I'm guessing the solenoids are under there. I do not have a manual or a clue where to go from here.
