Discussion:
stand on ride on pantograph rach trucks

Apart from Crown, Raymond and Jungheinrich, does anyone know of anyone else who manufactures a stand on ride on pantograph reach truck?

Crown and Raymond are the most common in Australia, followed very closely by a very good Yale ( another north american product). I'd steer clear of Jungheinrich for at least another few years, as their product support is a bit shabby, not something you need when you are trying to run multiple truck sites.

Actually, I don't think I have ever seen a stand-up moving mast reach truck in the US - only in Japan, but I am familiar with the NYK design.

There is plenty to argue as far as relative advantages of the pantograph vs moving mast reach truck design and since there is no real 'deep reach moving mast', I suppose that one could count it as an advantage of the pantograph style, as far as product range. However, that is driven by the market. With a lack of double deep racking in Western Europe, as compared to North America, comes a lack of demand for a truck to service this racking.

lol NYK is one of the only stand up moving masts i ever see (being a mitsu dealer) they didnt catch on here although i still see alot of those old units

i also service linde sitdown moving masts

ive never seen a deep reach moving mast
so i would suppose the pantograph has the advantage there by design

Actually, Jungheinrich makes both a stand-up pantograph reach and deep reach and a family of sit-down moving mast reach trucks.

In my experience, the Asian market has typically been a stand-up moving mast reach market, as opposed to the European market, which has historically been a sit-down moving mast reach market and the US market, which has historically been a stand-up pantograph reach market. Go figure.

From what i know, JH doesn't have it. Theirs are moving mast.

Crown and Raymond are 2 reliable brand in terms of pantograph reach. They are the market leader for this!

Guess as much the next consideration will the price and aftersales-support

NYK does, but it is not Chinese or Korean, if you are referring to a "stand up truck with reach pantograph" and not one where you "stand on the pantograph".
