Everyone keep in mind, Crown is the only Manufacturer that builds their own electric motors vs outsourcing them. They made this change a few years ago. This way, they keep it in house and can control quality. In other words, Crown's are more Crown than any other Mnf. can claim about their own lifts.

to compare the older raymond and mitsu units
the mitsu unit, with ev100 and the interface card that basically mimics a truck built for ev100 for one that was built for raymonds system, seems... redundant
the raymonds are always a lil easier to work with (provided you know the superword and have the manual) and the trucks were built with their system in mind

the jungheinrich jacks i dont like they just dont seem as strong as even the old raymond 101's

ill still recommend a linde ew(r)60-02 over what ive seen so far in AC jacks

New York, New York its a heluva town..you know that The Bronx is up..and I'm Brooklyn down
Just a different look into things. Mits, cat, and yale used to all be built by raymond just with the ev-100 system, crown uses ev-100, mits and cat are jungheinrich now. Raymond uses its own system but it is expensive..how much difference is there really in the narrow aisle and sit down market? Crown is known for it's thicker frames as well as clark, the rest are basically the same. Even most ac units use the same zapi system...all bias aside is there a lot of variety in this market?

My crowns dont break and they are run in a blast freezer.Bigest thing I replace is handels where they break them off by hitting everything in the building

ive been working on all brands for 10 years now
heres my opinion based on what ive seen

for narrow isle - raymond
for sitdowns - linde/toyota tied

this is based on frequency of downtime in regards to environment, component quality, and end user opinions (from people ive taked to)

electric jack - raymond tm and linde ewr60-02 tied (based on performance in a -20 degree fahrenheit freezer with many brands)

crown is pretty bad, high frequency of downtime

of course no unit will survive long if not properly maintained

is that "narrow aisle", with or without pallet jacks? and/or with or without sitdowns? where can the rest of us see those numbers?
thanks for the info.

All the numbers bear out that Raymond/Toyota lead the pack in the US. Raymond is all electric and continues that focus while Crown has decided to partner with a second tier gas truck line. R/T is the best.

I received some research numbers yesterday that showed raymond/toyota as having the largest US market share for narrow aisle. Crown was a close second followed by yale. These were for US. Not sure about global #'s

and I am pretty sure both Crown and Jungheinrich beat out Toyota/Raymond in terms of market share of Electric trucks...

if you go by market share I'd say Raymond/Toyota in general narrow aisle warehouse. Although others are gaining ground.
