newbe to the forum i have c500 im losing lift power sounds like fluid from the lift cly. its a 2 stage mast tilt cly work ok also have a puddle of hyd. fluid under left front wheel that maybe another problem thanks for any help

Where is the leak coming from? If it is coming out of the block on the bottom of the cylinder you do not have to remove the mast cylinder. The block on the bottom of the cylinder is a flow control valve it has 4 1/4" bolts holding it on to the cylinder. If you raise the front of the truck you can remove the flow control valve and replace it. If one of the lower seals is leaking you will need to remove the cylinder. After removing the flow control valve you will find 2 bolts in the yolk that the cylinder sits in. Remove the bolts. There is a lower cross yolk on the intermediate rail that will need to be unbolted also.
Hi Brewski..I have a problem with a c500-30 clark LPG approx 1983-85..Ive got a multi mast cylinder that pushes from bottom as well as the top.got a bad leak on bottom..Ive secured all fork lift carrages and disconnected top but cant seem to disconnect bottom..Mast cylinder is connected to bottom shelf and i cant figure how to get out.. could u please help me ? gone all over internet.Thanks Dave
yea ill start pulling it off and find a rebuilder in my area thanks for input
If you pull off the return hose and put it in a bucket, you can see that the seal on the base of the lift ram is leaking by. You need to repack the lift cylinder.
yes 2 line to the clyinder it drops when you let go of handle
Is there a drain back hose on the cylinder? Does the mast raise and then drop?
