synching the left and right reach cylinders

The right side reach extension cylinder is leaking and will need to be removed, resealed, and reinstalled. Is there a procedure for synching the left and right reach cylinders during re-installation to avoid binding and to ensure that the left and right cylinders are moving in and out at the same speed/length?
