stering not working

first thing is the truck is one of two well it started with the first truck no steering or codes and no steering tec 1 removed the steering encodes from the first truck and tried to use the second truck as a test this truck was working fine than it two stopped steering ,he order both encoders and the cable going to the lower encoder.tec two went and put the encoders back on the working truck that came off and it will not steer both trucks are down.now i was sent their two find the cause is it just that the encoders need calibration if so any help with this JUST a note both trucks start and the wheel centers and they lift and move but will not steer please help. thank you

I got it thanks found wires from lower card pinched shorted out encoder..
