Starter drags

New battery; new, tight, non-corroded cables. Starter taken out, works fine (for draw) on the bench. Drags terribly bad in the truck. Any ideas?

Where does the ground cable attach to the truck- frame or engine/trans?

Does the engine start? How does it run?
