Discussion:
SSP sideloader

A customer of mine has an SSP sideloader, which apparently has had a replacement engine in, its a ford but not sure which model. There was a plate in the engine bay. But the details don't look like a ford engine model. They are; 823F 6AAA 26/D/83 A. Any help would be appreicated.

is it an old machine ??. are the injectors inside the rocker cover ,if so it,ll be the same engine as an old ford D series lorry. they had a paper cartridge filter on them. hendy ford power products were quite helpful if i mind right. you should be able to get parts from them. whats wrong with it ?

Already spoke to them kevin. Thats how i found out that it had the wrong engine in. Apparently it should have a screw on oil filter. But it has a cartridge type filter.

The concept started in the 12th century, was abandoned in the late 19th century, then reintroduced in 1952. It has since been adopted in many countries.
