Discussion:
Sorry,....but another what is it question?

I scraped together enough funds to buy this Yale,... I'm happy that I'm not riding my neighbor's teeter-totter bobcat anymore!!! The only problem I'm having is a few minor crashes,...however I would like to fix the brakes before I **** off some trucker by putting a hole in the back of his trailer.

So, yes I read earlier posts and looked for a serial number under the seat, under the battery, between the rams, and not even a pimple of a number anywhere. So I'm stumped??? Just hope it's not hot or something,.... that someone ground off the numbers? I do know it has a 4cyl LP motor,...can't read the label because it's full of paint. Would like to know a model and maybe a year if possible??.... so if I need to order parts I can give the parts guy some information,.... other than showing him a picture. Thanks in advance for your help!!!
(not sure if the little picture in the corner showed up?) it was there when I clicked on my profile?? guess the picture isn't approved yet?

If you take a bunch of pictures of the motor, dash board, side doors, and under the floor plate and e mail them to me I can maybe figure out what model it is.

still no serial number found? looked at all the suggested locations, brushed off the paint to make sure. The front axle has this number stamped on the housing,...(not sure it's any help) 502413700B. I also tried to bleed the brakes, the fluid would come out of each wheel,..but could not develop any brake pedal. Do you think it is the master cylinder? If so, would a picture of the master cylinder be helpful? I cleaned off the paint on the motor,...it says Yale. Thanks for your help!

You will need the serial number of teh unit to assure you get teh right parts. It is stamped on the unit - keep looking often the s/n have been painted over & it will take some effort. A common place to find the s/n is on the front frame member between the mast tilt cylinders. If the data plate is metal (aluminum) simply remove the paint and the model numbers & s/n will appear - the model number will start with GLP or GLC followed by 3 numberc like 050 followed by a letter A or R etc and more letters & numbers. The s/n will be all number except for one letter that will give the year of manufacture (you have to have a Captain Midnight decorder ring to translate that letter to a year or your nearest Yale dealer can help you)

yikes... i sure hope you have your operator's license at least because if the local department of labour pays you a visit, you will have some very pointed questions coming your way.
