SMH!!!!! Bought out LPM/Intrupa !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just off the hott wire from all of your sales reps. SMH has aquirred all of IMCH (LPM&Intrupa). How is this gonna affect the Large LPM Elite dealers? Will this put all of us on a level playing field? Will all the small independent forklift mom & pops
still be able to buy at the same rate OEM's can?

TVH are a very good company and really know there buisness(the oems could learn a lot from them).short therm you will benefit but as times goes on and TVh buy up all the competitors your choice of suppliers gets smaller and then they have the whole market to themselves............

Leterrip, you seem to have alot of un-answered question you are looking for answers for. My suggestion to you would be for you to contact, John Gaughan Director of New Business Development at SMH as previously mentioned, Regional Manager of the Northeast Region, Dan Oriente or Inside Sales Representative for the Northeast Region Julie Kluczynski to discuss your concerns moving forward.

Thank you for the answer. You say that with authority. So I will assume that you work for SMH/TVH. I just feel that the former ownership of IMC ruined the LPM nameplate and their own namplate by not focusing the their core business. MATERIAL HANDLING PARTS! It is sad to see it go.............

The brand names LPM and Intrupa do not exist. It is up to the indiviual dealerships to market those brands as they see the need to do so. If you are really that concerned about the direction of the brands please call John Gaughan @ SMH and he can explain it to you.

LPM, Intrupa, is now SMH Total Source. AKA - SMH Grayslake. LPM and Intrupa part numbers remain the same.

And what is the direction? Where does the LPM nameplate fit in? As I said before it is going away. Tell me why you think it is not!

if you've been around awhile you probably remember Hans Anger Sr. he was the best in this industry. he was always about the customer and treated his employees like family. when Hans Jr. took over he didn't have the same love for the company. customers were still the focus but employee satisfaction was not. many benefits were taken away. we lost alot of good people because of it. when he sold the company we were all nervous to say the least. we have found that SMH priorities mirror that of Hans Sr. and have reinstated many benefits that had been taken away. they recognize that customer satisfaction, employee satisfaction, retaining experienced people, are the cornerstone of success. as i see it, this merger will be beneficial to both customers and employees. i am very happy about the direction we are going.

fax, e-mail. is personal? what type of inflection can you hear in the voice of a fax? how can you tell if something is truthful or sarcastic from a fax. how can you tell if the question you may have asked in a fax is even being addressed? it's easy to hide behind a url. an e-mail is devoid of all emotion and intent can be easily misconstrued. service and people make the difference. case in point -----K-mart vs. Wal-Mart. why does wal mart make double digit profits while k-mart falters?

for the 14+ years i have been here, it's always been about the customers, the relationships, and the satisfaction of the customer. service at many companies have gone the way of the Edsel. non-existent. the impersonal contact with the internet is a necessary evil that's called progress. i have always had the goal of exceeding my customers' expectations and will continue to do so. ask the ones who i talk to on a daily basis how they feel about the service i provide. not to mention the rest of the team we have here. if any employee does not feel the same way, they should not be in this industry.
