Discussion:
reverse works but no forward movement

Hello, I have an older model Clark EC25-SSC electric forklift. I keep the battery charged. It does not get that much use...maybe a couple of times a week 1-2 hr use..so it does stand a good bit. This past week it discontinued to engage forward. Reverse still works fine. All other movements work fine. With seat down and forward lever in position I push down the acceleration pedal. Contacts engage but no forward movement or sound. If I hold the pedal down all the way the second speed contact engages but STILL no movement forward. Thanks in advance for any help or replies.

if your fwd and rev switches are pullin in the contactors you know that you have control. fallow the power path. check for a v/d over the rev contactor and that all fuses are ok. if you have see 36/48v at any of these locations that will be your proble.
please fallow up with any codes that ev100 is spitting out. you can read it with the lx handset.

I would check the reverse contractor to make sure that it is making a good connection for the negative to flow. Check all cables and connections. Because the reverse works fine I think that it may be a bad connection or contractor tip issue.
