I work in maintenance at a Northeast Ohio manufacturing firm. Our materials warehouse uses Raymond sideloaders in its warehouse operations. we regularly have a contractor on site repairing the guide rails as a result of rails bending and breaking.
At the beginning of our aisles we have 6" tall channel iron as the rail and then about 10-12 feet down the aisle it changes to 4" channel iron.
I am wondering if anyone can tell me if perhaps we are using too thin of a guide rail. The web on the guide rail is approximately 3/16" thick. If anyone can help me with that info I would be geatly appreciative.
Thanks
