Sounds like it may be bent. What was the reason for it's removal?
It really is the stupidest attachment of a steer axle I've ever seen. The mount on the axle is forward of centerline causing the pin/bushing to wear/bend because the weight of the lift keeps trying to c*ck the axle rearwards. You may have to burn it out w/ a torch.
