No, they're just cartridge valves. Remove the 3/4" retaining nut and then you slide the solenoid off. The valve is about 1-1/8". Just unscrew and remove. Only a small trickle of fluid should come out if any at all. I just had this same problem on one of my Daewoos and a C25C a month ago.
