Excellent post by Bruce...I have also seen the armature shaft or key of the steer motor sheer. 208 In simple terms the truck thinks it sent a request for steer during self test and didnt see a response. Did the Drive Unit really turn during self test? If yes, its in the return signal from the DU encoder. If No, The mechanical/electrical signal is being delivered is being interuppted. Have a manual?
