while I sure don't want to ever suggest anyone extend past their own absolute comfort level in doing any repair on any equipment, (Victor_b) this is a walkie- stacker, not a man up (order/stock picker) truck.
That is not to say that a less than completely proper and safe repair would be acceptable, or that someone will not get hurt if the repair is less than 100% safe, just that at least there is not a person in the air.
