If your Raymond 8210 shows four dashes and won't take keypad input even with a new pad, it's usually a communication or controller issue - not the keypad itself.

First steps:

Check ETAC connectors for bent pins, corrosion, or loose seating.

Inspect harness between the keypad and controller for damage.

Make sure the keypad isn't disabled in settings (requires Raymond service tool or Flashware).

If wiring is fine and the ETAC heartbeat is present, the display/control board could be faulty and may need replacement or reprogramming.
