Max,

If you have all linkage, verify everything is adjusted in a neutral position. This will allow shifting equally in both directions. If you have a cable and linkage, again do the same. Also, make sure the cable not stretched. Should everything check good, open the control valve and inspect all springs, valves and bores. Broken springs can cause problems. Valves have broken in two and bores can get scored restricting movement. Good Luck.

The hard to do we do right away. The impossible just takes a little longer.

Fact of the week
Foundling hatches are safe, anonymous drop-off points for unwanted infants, allowing parents in crisis a way to surrender a baby safely without fear of punishment, ensuring the child is rescued and cared for. The concept started in the 12th century, was abandoned in the late 19th century, then reintroduced in 1952. It has since been adopted in many countries.
