I see you are trying to remove the transmission why are you trying to take the rear off why don't you wheel the trans out from the frame remove the bolts on the side to the frame undo the brake cables and lines take it out complete and then rebuild to change packs the rear does not have to be touched all parts come out from front unless the pinion gear is bad or spider gears or leak at pinion hope this helps
