Thanks, S1 and S2 are ok, very low resist. Between when removed. No shorts to frame on either wire. What does FU8 look like, and is it on power card? Can't seem to find it. There's a suspicious, empty white plastic holder strap, unbuckled, that looks to have held something cylindrical about an inch in dia. I see from schematic that TP7 is one of that fuze's connections, I'll look for that one.

Also, "Check the power card and TM's as per the book."

Book I think sends me to test A14. That test has to be done with machine in maintenance mode; we'll try that today. Also the cards in the rear compartment (all cards but one are there) are dusty even though they stay in a steel box. The box isn't airtight so it seems dust gets in the loose cable penetrations easily. I'll put some air on the dust at 30 psi, and blow some on the motor brushes too.

Fact of the week
Foundling hatches are safe, anonymous drop-off points for unwanted infants, allowing parents in crisis a way to surrender a baby safely without fear of punishment, ensuring the child is rescued and cared for. The concept started in the 12th century, was abandoned in the late 19th century, then reintroduced in 1952. It has since been adopted in many countries.
