I have been on the training course many times. The training book states "only motors fitted with brush access plugs may be opened by service contract providers or end users for the purpose of brush inspection and carbon extraction".

Motors converted using other methods should be sent to an authorised repair company.

Our motor had been converted by other methods hence the reason of sending it for repair.
