Thanks for the response! the display failure was traced to poor ribbon cable connection between main control box and display module. (cable not seated squarely in 14p header connector.) Display is once again right with the world. Lift fault was in a programming menu - 'lift limit stop/restart' was unchecked for some reason in the system setup menu. [logged off - hit service button, select '3-authorised service', passcode [0002468] select '3-options' - items 3,4 'lift limit stop' and 'lift limit restart' should be checked "no" hopefully this keeps us going - and possibly helps someone else as well!
