Can anyone give me a clue on how to separate the motor from the trans, I have taken out all the bolts around the "bell housing" hyd pump is out, I'm sure the pump chain drive and all it's components come out with the motor, I can't seem to get the two halves to split, at about 3 and 9 o'clock, there are small gaps where it looks like one could wedge something in there to help split but I can't seem to get anything in there. Am I missing something. The torque converter is disconnected.

Thanks for the reply, that's a good idea, that was my next step, wasn't sure if I was forgetting something that I should have disconnected.
If this had been a Nissan I would have been finished in around 4-5 hours. Gotta love them Hysters!
Raise the transmission and engine assembly as high as possible. Stick a block under the transmission and lower the assembly. Then raise and lower again until you get a gap between the two. Pry apart from there.
Do you have a serial number, can look up a few things that may help. Thanks
The torque converter is loose from the flywheel. The engine and trans are definitely stuck together, I was hoping on some insight on techniques to unstick the two parts.
Raymond,
You stated that you removed all the bolts, what about the torque converter where it bolts to the flywheel? You will need to remove the starter to get at these bolts. If you have these removed, sometimes the engine and transmission are stuck together. Also, look around for another bolt on the left side front the engine to the trans.
