Discussion:
Recommendations?

Hello All, Just got a few questions, I am looking at recommendations on a Heavy Forklift, rated at least 45,000lbs cap. I currently have a Cat 988G, and am weighing the Omega 50K HERC RT Forklift against the Cat 988H. Any other recommendations on a rough terrain FL that would withstand high temps, and unfavorable conditions (ie. Desert). Any opinions would be greatly appreciated as far as servicablity, and reliability?

Don't believe anything tha Larry J says. You know how those Taylor guys are. (Just kidding Larry)

You should take a look at the new Linde 40,000 lb. Hydrostat H180.

Thanks alot for your recommendations the situation I am dealing with is I am in Iraq and I'm concerned about issues regarding servicability and parts over here. As we all no what an issue aquiring parts can be it's even more difficult here. I've been looking into JCB telescopic lifts and have already convinced the boss of the need to purchase the Caterpillar 988H. Some other lifts they are trying to get are the Daewoo 30K's when a 30K just won't cut it here, let alone the fact that getting a contractor to work on any lift that isn't real popular is a real task. Any recommendations? The JCB's, and Cat's have been the most successful here

Hoist Liftruck manufacturers quality heavy-duty forklifts with nice standard features and low-profile design.

You may want to consider a TAYLOR forklift. Tough, well built, and above all reliable in harsh conditions defines the TAYLOR machines.

I would be glad to foward you some brochures.
