Discussion:
Reach fault

Hi there.
Can anybody help with my reach truck problem.
This reach truck works ok except that when I reach in, the reach carraige stops 4" or 100mm from the end of its travel. The only way I can get it to come all the way back is to switch it off and back on then it will come all the way home. Any good ideas of a fix.
Thanks

the most common faults with reach problems in the pantograph is the wire harness getting pinched somewhere or rubbed and the harness shorting or opening up.
I would inspect ALL the wiring in the pantograph and around the manifold valve on the carriage assy. Watch it closely when it all comes together and look for things like this.
The clearances are very tight usually so the chance of this being the problem is very high.

At the opening ceremony of the Sydney Harbour Bridge in 1932, marching bands were instructed to walk out of step as they crossed the bridge. This unusual directive was given as a precaution due to concerns about the bridge's structural integrity during its early use.
