Discussion:
Problem with diesel pump control motor?

Hi all, hope someone can help as this is driving me round the bend ! my still r70-25 has an intermittant fault which effects the throttle control, Throttle response becomes very poor and jerky, and also loses the ability to increase revs while lifting, when i lift the cover and check the control motor it seems like it is not moving properly....this always clears however just simply by fiddling around in that area, sometimes spraying with lubricant, however usually a day or so later the problem re-appears, the bosch control unit for the diesel pump is £800 plus vat, so given the intermittent nature im hoping someone can help rather than having to spend that, fingers crossed ! and thanks in advance to anyone with any ides.

The innjection pump actuator responds at hydraulic position sensors too. Seems to me your problem in in commandin the actuator, not the pump and not actuator itself. To separate the problem try to disconect electrical coupling beneath the lift lever (beneath hyd.distribuitor) and observe general reaction. This Hall sensor is not such a reliable part.. Then do the same for the other sensors; this is an empirical way to troubleshoot..
Let me know about progress.
