Princeton PB55.3X Mast groaning

While lifting or lowering between three and 6 feet the mast groans. I have loosened up all of the thrust pucks to eliminate a mechanical binding of the rails however the noise continues.
Does anyone have any information about having problems with lift cylinders on these units?
