Discussion:
Ongoing steer control issue

First let me say thanks for all the info I have found here already.

Our "service tech" was positive that we needed a new steer control board at a cost of $2100.00. The tech replaced the steer position encoder as he thought that was the problem. I instead sent ours off and had it serviced for $400.00. I installed the controller and went through the calibration. All seemed fine for a few hours then code C3 again. I then went back through calibration and same thing 3 hours later. Doesn't feel like excessive play in pivot bearing while jacked up. So I guess I'm down to either steer encoder or home proximity sensor.

Any thoughts on what I may be missing or overlooking?
