alot of speculation going on here without a model and serial number of the truck in question.
but after doing some research on the model L impco i'm pretty sure he meant to say vaporizer/regulator instead of mixer.
so.... whats the model and serial of the truck?

I do believe you are misinformed. I refer you to Nissan publication SMOE=FOS2GO of Aug. 93. TB45 is a fuel injected LPG engine and TD42 is a diesel fuel injected along with P engine model. May I also refer you to Nissan Corp NA service bulletin SB97-015 issued June 1997. The parts manual does show the NIKKI regulator used in other markets, but not approved for North American consumption.
TB40 used impco. TB42 is fuel injected and has electric lock off and nissin vaporizer. I can send you p/n because converter is quite expensive even from TVH.

Unless you have a gray market truck, you would have a FO3 or a FO5 UL approved fuel system and it wouldn't be the Nikki. If you can identify the serial number this would help. Is the truck a P40 produced before May of 1988 or after? Does the truck have a cyclone air filter? If you are working on a vehicle that was made for the North American market (USA or Canada) you have an Impco VFF 30, model 100 carb and a model J regulator.
Just rebuild the regulator, that should cure your problem.
i agree with kevin, check your out pressure
i just had a job almost identical to this, the truck wouldnt start, after troubleshooting i found the converter was supplying too much fuel pressure to the mixer and flooding the engine. when i pulled the inlet line off the mixer it had alot of pressure on it.
I changed out the converter and all is well now.
What regulator/ VaporiOr does this truck have,is it the NIKKI regulator? What is your fuel PSI coming out of it,in the top is a 17mm hex, take it out and put a fitting in it and a gauge, should have about 4 1/2 PSI of pressure.
