Load lock / load support devices - forklift

G'day.
I have a situation where steel coil is wrapped for shipment, while supported by a "probe" attached to the fork tines , a practice to be eliminated. In the mean time I need a failsafe way of preventing any possibility of the coil/mast dropping while load is being worked on.
I'm looking for good experiences with 'counterbalance valves, load lock valves, hydraulic fuses' or similar. How failsafe are they, can they be certified as effective?
regards
Daveb
