Hyster J2.00XMT - "Low Voltage Steer Sensor" - showing on dash

Can some one please provide information as to how we can check / test repair fault - machine slows and then speeds up intermittantly even when accelerator pedal is kept fully down but dash information always shows " low voltage speed sensor" Any assistance greatfully received.

Take of the rear cover and you wil find a bleu potmeter in the steering assy, drive the truck forwards and backwards untill you drive perfectly straght.

Use your DMM in Volts function and measure between the middle pin of the connector of the potmeter and the left and right pin.

The readings should be the same.

Replacing the potmeter is always ok on this kind of trucks.

I used to replace them evere 2000 hours to prvent problems.
