China's June forklift sales record health increaseThe China Construction Machinery Association (CCMA) says forklift sales by “major manufacturers” jumped by 23.1% year-on-year (y-o-y) in June 2025 to 137,000 units.
The data, reported by a number of media outlets including Bloomberg and Shanghai Metals Market, also reveals of these, 83,892 were domestic sales, a 27.3% y-o-y increase, while exports totalled 53,678 units, an increase of 17.2% y-o-y (though these numbers equal 137, 570).
In the first six months of the year, the CCMA says 739,334 forklifts were sold, a jump of 11.7% y-o-y with domestic sales reaching 476,382 units, an increase of 9.79% y-o-y with exports accounting for 262,952 units, a jump of 15.2% y-o-y.
Bloomberg says the sales data for forklifts in China is “a key barometer of activity in the construction industry”.
