Discussion:
Hoist motor encoder error

Having an issue trying to figure out whats going on with this lift, still fairly new to working on these kinds of things. Trying to raise the forks and 'hoist motor encoder error' pops up and it's usually intermittent, but for some reason now it keeps acting and i dont know where to begin. Any insight is greatly appreciated.

Gotcha. I totally read your message wrong. I'd recommend testing the emergency disconnect switch. If that checks out, make sure the battery is above 36v idle and under load. If those both check out, check voltage at the access 3 module. If there is 36v at the access 3 module, i reccommend replacing the access 3 module.

I will do that first thing in the morning, thank you. And i meant the event code 108 has occurred on the lift itself 120 times my apologies.

It sounds like the access 3 module isn't always getting power. I'd measure the power at the access 3 module and check the key switch and fuses in that circuit to make sure they are working properly.
I am unable to find any mention of a 120 event code.

Is there a event code that pops up or gets logged in the events menu? It can be found using the down arrows.
