Not sure what year GLP060 I have but it goes forward fine, inching is fine, but reverse seems like the brakes are being applied when there not. Has anyone experienced this? Thanks for any help.

check the park brake cable for damage if the wheel cannot be turned by hand or if the cable is damaged cut the park brake cable near the trans housing.that will release the shoes allowing the drum to be removed.replace the rh park brake cable by running it over the top of the transmission and down to the rh backing plate, will not get damaged from botton.that can be done for most brands of lift trucks

did you happen to check the wheel after you pulled the axle to see if it was still binding?
to determine if the problem was actually in the wheel or in the differential is what i'm getting at.

IF it was still binding after pulling the axle you do have something wrong inside that brake assy. Look at the shoes, where they are sitting on the backing plate, look at the backing plate pads where the shoes sit for wear. Look at the adjuster and all the linkage associated with it. check the backing plate for looseness. Something is causing it to bind up.

Yes nut holds bearings.
But first you have to back off brakes because you'll never slide off drum
You may need a thin screwdriver to push adjuster arm from starwheel to back off pads

Ok I did what you said and the right side wheel doesn't turn but the left side does in either direction. I took the tire off and pulled the axle. How do you get the brake drum off. do I have to take that spindle nut off?

it's easy to check brakes without taking apart. Tilt back and block mast tight, then tilt forward to raise wheels off ground. with brake off, you should be able to spin wheels in either direction. Put it in drive and see if each wheel turns or locks. Try e brake too. If no one has worked on brakes or adjusted them too tight, you have something broken like adjuster making it too tight

i would pull the wheels and check the brake shoes and also the backing plates.
it could be loose backing plates allowing the shoe assy's to shift and grab in reverse. Also the raised pads on the backing plates the shoes ride on could be worn causing the shoes to hang up.
just a couple things that came to mind to check for
