Discussion:
Forward/nuetral light flickerings

hey guys. the truck im working on is a mcp1f1a18lv sn cp1f1-9n0433. truck has 13000 hrs

my customer drove the truck off the dock. truck survived but now has some electrical issues. at first the truck would randomly shift back to nuetral when driving in forward only. reverse is fine. i figured out that the directional light flickers when in neutral or forward but not reverse. i also found that when the key on engine off the forward solenoid is randomly clicking on/off. i tested the voltages and found a sparatic 12v+(would dance between 0-12v on its own) to the forward solenoid coming out of the vcm. tested the reverse and found a very steady 12v+. i tested the voltage from the directional switch at the vcm and found forward/reverse to both be good. so i replaced the vcm only to find the same thing. also found that the throttle motor comes on with the key on engine off and the directional switch in either forward or reverse. so im wondering if anyone knows why the lights would be flickering in forward/neutral only. so far we replaced the vcm and ecm, now am thinking the dash might be bad but do not want to throw parts at this anymore. any help is appreciated
