Discussion:
Fleet management system in Indoor Warehouse

We are moving to retrofit FMS for our exiting truck x 44 units.
Forklift brand is Toyota 7FBE18 x 3units, Reach Truck brand is BT RRE160M x 19units, Order Picker Brand is Linde x14 units, VNA Brand is Raymond x 8units.
Local available type of FMS is Keytroller 601 and Toyota_I-site.
Keytroller is using Wifi whereas I-site is using 3GSM.
Both have their selling point but my issue is are both compatible to fix onto the other brand of truck as well. Would there be another better FMS to manage all the truck at one time.

Hi Louis,
I'm working with Alexander and we support customers in 25 countries, from three locations, Germany, UK and USA. Because you can access our installations remotely, and because they come outfitted with a standardized connector plug, there is not need for local support after initial implementation and training of your team.
Possibly we can discuss on the phone?
Many customers, in Thailand, Philippines, China and elsewhere do this. Also we are currently working with a Singapore partner whom we will be able to involve in support, should you nonetheless request. I look forward to hearing from you. Best regards - Dieter

Thanks OldTechGuy, I am also looking into the aftersale service that the vendor can support. Both local service and technical support is not mature locally yet.

Hello Luis,

Sorry for responding late to your post. We offer web based fleet management system called Vigilant which works on Wi-Fi, 900 MHz or Cellular. The system is manufacturer agnostic, compact and requires no external components unlike most other systems.

System provides automated email and reports and requires 1-2 hours a week to manage entire fleet. Vigilant has robust performance record, comes with a 2 year warranty and competitively priced. Please contact me if you are still in the market.

Hello Louis,
The Keytroller and Toyota systems are good solutions but one piece of advice is to choose a system that can provide good local service & technical support. Parts, Service and IT advice is critical to successful implementations and ROI. Keytroller has good phone support but it is always nice to have a knowledgable dealer on site. The Toyota system is ID Systems based cellular solution (PowerBox in the USA) private labelled by Toyota. The Crown system is a reversed engineered version of ID Systems from several years ago.

Hi Louis, you might want to consider our fleet management system PowerFleet. We are just returning from CEMAT Asia, in Shanghai, were we had significant interest from Singapore also. Please review our products here www. eu. id-systems. com /uk or send our sales manager Mr. Dieter Engler, dengler @ id-systems. com an Email. We currently have installations in 25 countries worldwide, with Asian installations in Thailand, China and the Philippines. We use a standardised connector plug to install on any fork truck brand a) to ensure concurrence, b) CE conformity and c) to facilitate swapping vehicle units between different vehicle models. Kind regards, Alex Glasmacher, MD I.D. Systems EMEA www id-systems com

Thank Lifter for your information, If that is the case, it could be their management after sale practice, or lack of specialist due to local demand market.
Is there anyone using Toyota I-site and can share their experience. Wish to collect more info on shop user.

Thanks Lifter, I have explore the Crown Infolink with the local Crown distributor, their representative comment that this Crown infolink only applicable to their brand truck. Hence, we are not able to discuss into more detail.

Thanks GCombs, the keytroller system is nice but difficult to be fix onto Order Picker truck and VNA truck as the operator platform spacing is very limited. Will try to talk to the local distributor to work up a better suggestion.
