I am wanting to know if anyone has knowledge of a under the hood fire suppression system for LP forklifts. Thanks

positive charged system with trace tube is directly pressurised from the cylinder and is traced around the area of risk to be protected. that runs though engine bay

there is a company who can provide with fire detecting tube also, just like that of firetrace, its name is "awarefire", awarefire dot com is their showing site

The system your after is Firetrace, several companies do similar products including FTC Group in the UK

do a search for Ardent-UK they do many different versions of mobile fire suppression. auto detection or manual..

Hi, there is a system about I think called Meridian basically had big red button on the dash board, thump the button and it will set off two remote extinguishers piped to nozzles over the engine and transmission. We used to instal them on behalf of the ports, I have seen a similar system fitted to large quarry plant

Yes,

I saw a system on an electric counterbalance made by Pyroban which incorporated a fire extinguisher. When the truck was switched on the system charged before power was delivered from the battery to the truck. Pyroban make systems which are dedicated to individual machines and have drawings for every system they design & install. So if your budget permits they would be a good point to start from.

i've been in this business for over 30yrs
never seen one
usually there is just a fire extinguisher mounted on truck

someone else may have seen one but i do not know of any myself
