Discussion:
Event Code 305

Having an issue with a counterbalance RC5540-40. When the unit is turned on Access 1 goes through start up. The line contactor does not close, and unit gives an Event Code 305. I have checked the dead man switch and can see it changing states in the analyzer menu of Access 1. I have checked the wires to and from the Line contactor coil and Access 3, no issue there. the pump contactor will engage and have hydraulic functions just no travel functions. To some the issue up wrench light code 305 no travel, any assistance would be appreciated.

In my experience after troubleshooting this code, it will be a bad access 3. If following the book it will more than likely lead you to this. If you have another RC with same software, swap access and see if code transfers or goes away. If so replace access 3.

I'm having the exact same problem and same 305 code. Also tried swapped fuse 1 and fuse 2 but no difference. Contactor for access 3 will not close. All wiring looks good. Access 1 and access 2 are working as they should. Hydraulics work but no drive. What was the solution to your problem? Replace access 3?

Tried the fuse swap as suggested and still no good. Thinking it may be the Access 3.

Check fuse 1. Swap it out with the pump contactor fuse if it follows the problem you need a new fuse. Don't ohm it out as that will not work. You can try a voltage drop across the fuse, but have seen that fail as well. Good luck!
