I installed a backup alarm on the lift and now have to turn it on in the system. The passkey and registration was purchased, but I'm getting conflicting stories on how/where to enter it in the system. Do I need a lap-top to enter it? Do I just turn on the truck and start entering in the passkey code? Is there a sub-menu in the system I need to go to and enter it in? Any info. is greatly appreciated.

yep i worked for a raymond dealer ship for years....and anything such as passwords is top secret..they do not give them away!!!....
You can make the changes, but you dont have the superword. It would start off with a blank space, then try 2. That`s factory default. If you dont know the superword, the dealer will have to supply it by hooking up the laptop. What password did you use? if 1, then try space 2.
All I can see is the configure mode. So, apparently I can't make the changes myself. Yeah, I feel like I'm getting the runaround from the dealer. Happens all the time with these guys. Thanks for the help.
Are you in Password mode or Superword mode?
If you see a prompt for "learn" then you have full access. If you just see "config" you are in Password and cannot make some changes or learn the control handle
If someone sold you feature they need to step up and Finnish the job, not give you the runaround
Bought the passkey and registration from a dealership. One guy from the dealer said we just type in the passkey and another from there said they have to go in with their laptop to type it in. I went through the configure menu and the alarm sub-menu is not there. The unit was bought new a few years ago without an alarm so it's not programmed for it.
Who sold you a passkey? Dealership must request this from Raymond and pay them, then bill you. You should not require a passkey for back up alarm.
If you have Superword, you may access this the back up alarm on the truck's display, in "config" and change the back up alarm to "forks first" or cab first, or on both directions. Factory password is "1" Superword is space, "2" If this does not work, you need Flashware or "DTIC" and it's only available through through an authorized Raymond dealer. Once connected by laptop, flashware will ask for the pass key to make any changes to the truck, like aux functions with foot off deadman...but not alarm. It will set features and superword to default "1" and space "2" Is this truck new, or recently sold to you? If so, dealer should provide this service at no charge
I'm not sure what you bought, superword or Pass key
Unfortunately you will need a laptop to do it, so you will have to call in the stealership
