Discussion:
Controller

This truck is a Genesis version. S/N TMG24806267489. The steering angle pot was replaced recently and now the truck does funny things when steered over 45 degrees in either direction.
Did some research, but am not certain if the GE amplifiers are the SX version. There is a master and a slave.
Can the amps be taught the pot positions for center, left, and right turn?
Any guidance would be helpful.

Perseverence is a virtue.
Showing items 1 - 10 of 10 results.
From what I can tell, all the settings point to maximum travel speed. The voltage from the steer pot is identical to both left and right controllers.

Do you have all the settings in the new controller setup correctly? Also the steer position pot can cause slow operation if not adjusted properly.

Truck is now working fine with the exception that the travel speed is slower than it was before the card replacement. I tried adjusting the travel speed with the GE handset, but still too slow.
Any tips on speeding this truck up?

Yes GE controller, you will require the GE LX hand set scanner to perform set up and pull codes., however faults should display on dash. Ill dig up the info on testing the controller an detail here. Flight Systems also have diagnostic info and tests online.

Found some info on programing the GE controller using the EV100 analyzer. Tried it yesterday with the same results. It seems the LH motor does not do what it's supposed to do when steering. RH seems okay. Suspect the LH driver is faulty but not sure. Now I have 8888 code on dash and a bunch of lights flashing on dash. Truck still works as before. Any guidance would be appreciated.

Zapi controller would do no good as the drivers are GE. We had the local Clark dealer out on this one, and he knows nothing of a programmer or tool. Not much faith in him.

There is a tool needed to align the new sensor/pot correctly. Then you must use the Zapi handset to learn master/ slave controllers to new sensor.
Sometimes if one gets lucky and the new pot is installed in the same location over the steer axle no extra effort is required.
